I went on a family road trip to Niagara Falls, Canada. It was just my parents and I. It has been more than a decade since we last visited Niagara Falls. We decided to stay at a motel in Niagara Falls, on the Canadian side because my parents said that the view was better than on the US side.
Since McDonald’s is almost every where around the world, there was one just a block away from our motel. In front of that McDonald’s, there was a huge sign that displayed, “We have poutine with the World’s famous french fries.” I was overly excited when I saw the word poutine because we do not have that back home at our McDonald’s. So, I made trip to that McDonald’s for dinner and ordered the poutine.
The poutine was nicely packaged in a cardboard box. At first glance, the poutine looked a bit gross, but that was not going to stop me from enjoying this unique experience. The fries were definitely saturated from the gravy and the cheese curds were somewhat tasteless. Obviously, there are better places for poutine, but eating at international McDonald’s is one of my travel goals. I now know, what McDonald’s poutine taste like – salty and soggy.
